I did it with portholes.
Raised the temp in small increments to 300F in about 30 minutes. Used a bar
clamp and some blocks of wood to slowly push the two heated glass disks
apart as soon as the epoxy between them got soft. You can tell when the
epoxy gets soft because it starts to stink up the oven.

I had a little trepidation at first, but after doing it realized that plate
glass is pretty tough.

I laid some towels over the whole works to slow down the cooling rate.
