The ACA was a knock-off of RomneyCare that was in existence in MA, so the idea
was certainly there even before Obama took office in 2009.

The GOP had 7+ years to work on something that was as Trump stated, will offer
better coverage and a lower price and everyone would be covered.  Once people
realize it's not the bill that's causing the issues, it's the insurance
providers who are calling the shots.  Get their greedy little fingers out of
the equation and problem solved.  Single payer come to mind?
