January 24: Another Ariane 5 is prepared for liftoff

The Ariane 5 for Arianespace's next heavy-lift mission is being 
assembled at the Spaceport in French Guiana.

The Ariane 5's large cryogenic core stage is raised to the vertical 
position inside the integration building, readying it for positioning 
over the mobile launch table. This core stage will then be mated with 
the launcher's two solid rocket stages.

One of two solid rocket stages for the Ariane 5 is transferred for its
mating with the vehicle's core cryogenic stage. The solid rocket stage 
is installed on a pallet, which slides onto Ariane 5's large mobile 
launch table for integration.
