Accepted.  Hey, with a name like John you have to be used to it yourself.
One year in high school I was in a situation where we had five Garys in my
geometry class.  Rather than using our last names the lady took to calling
us by combining our first and middle names, as if they were southern style
compound names, so I was Gary-Allen for a year.
