demeaning name "male," while calling women "women"?
It's an issue on
this group; to the media, men are always males, females, women.

And yes, Marcus, your post was fairly close to a categorial [sic]
syllogism; two premises and a conclusion. But your teacher, Epictetus,
who happens to be my all-time favorite philosopher, would have you
stand on your own two feet and become a man, not a male. Read The
Discourses, where he says as much.

Marcus Aurelius's domain may have been the empire, but Epictetus' was
the world. No offense intended, but you may have to spend a little
more time at the stoa before you become a stoic.
