subject: Download troubles in Win95

 RS> Hi Folks.
RS> I have recently made the leap to Windows 95, and I am
more like a clumsy bound, isn't it?
RS> running the DOS version of Maximus 3.01. Among other
RS> problems, something that appears to be plaguing my
RS> users is the fact that if they try to download a large
RS> file - anything over about 1 MB, the system will drop
RS> carrier on them in the middle of their file transfer.
do you have a screen saver active? My best guess would attribute this to
window 95's great multitasking abilities. Make sure the "allow screen saver"
check box is off in the properties of the bbs.
RS> Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon, and if so
 RS> has anyone resolved it?
I've had numerous downloading problems as a terminal in w95, plus tons of
others with hte bbs itself, and now they're gone. Of course, they
dissappeared at the same time i switched to os/2 ;)
ttyl, greg
