To solve the problem you
have to very carefully and methodically redefine concepts that we normally
take for granted, such as causation, effectuation, what is or is not an
entity, and what is or is not purpose (this is the big one).  And then you
have to methodically use these redefined terms to redefine much of the other
terminology that is taken for granted in biology.  But before you do any of
this you must first achieve the most scientifically accurate interpretation
of reality. An interpretaton that is unerringly objective.  None of this is
easily achieved.  But it is very productive once it is acheived in that it
provides answers to all these dillemmas.
