Not necessarily. As far as we know only Europeans(about 10% of them) carry
the Delta 38 gene mutation. The plagues(beginning in 1380) wiped out over
3/4 the population of Europe but it was discovered recently that some people
were immune if they carried 2 copies of the Delta 38 mutation, and only
became ill and recovered if they carried 1 copy. After the plague the
healthy people bred and passed it on but over the centuries it has become
diluted. This same mutation will also give immunity to AIDS for some unknown
reason. You can easily be tested so it doesn't matter how often you're
exposed to the AIDS virus because it cannot get inside the cells due to the
fact that there are no receptors. Almost all of the AIDS is in Africa and
spreading to Asia.
