Maybe, but the companies that I've mentioned are ones that are
asking for feedback...they want people to write to them.

But in that case you are paying for the mailbox, you're not
paying for each email you receive.
A better comparison is paying for a phone line, and putting up
with the telemarketing calls and wrong numbers.
As well, a lot of Web accounts come with email included...that way
you can put a hotlink in your web page to receive feedback or
orders.
