subject: How to start

Hi Rod!
RP:Hello, can anyone give me some info on how or where to start looking
RP:for my birth family. I've been informed by my adopted parents that
RP:It's a very good possibility that I was a twin. I need to find out if
RP:I was. I've always wondered who my birth parents were, but was never
RP:bothered by it because to me my adopted parents are Mom and Dad. But
RP:now that I know I might be a twin it bugs me and I'd like to find out
RP:if there really was a brother or sister I don't know about. Thanks.
I am sure that you will get a *lot* of answers to your question, but I
had to jump in too. :)
It sounds like your parents may be willing to help you in your search.
Having a twin is a strong attraction to starting a search. To think
that there may be "another one very much like you"!
Start with what you know: Your birth name (if known), your birth date,
place of birth (city, county, state), name of hospital, adoption agency
involved, county in which adoption was finalized, name of judge and/or
lawyer involved.
Post your info here. Some of us may already have you in some kind of
registry (if your mother has been looking for you).
Good luck!!!! Lynn
