The women-first crowd treats companies much the same as divorced
mothers treat their ex-husbands. The divorced mother, in cahoots with
her courts and her police, takes as much money from her ex as she
possibly can, and she is never satisfied with the amount. She takes
until he's broke, and then she gets nothing. Of course, it never
occurs to her that he's broke because she took his last dime, and she
quickly concludes that he's just so wrong and immoral for going broke.
Thus, he deserves punishment, and she'll keep hitting him with punitive
measures even though she knows it will yeild absolutely nothing.
If only she had worked with him, she'd still be getting a ride at his
expense, albeit a less luxurious ride than she wanted. But she
wouldn't work with him, and now she has to walk.
Consider the analogous situation of a company. It doesn't stay in
business by magic. It must turn a profit, or it is no more. It can't
turn a profit if it is forced to hire people who don't earn the pay, so
it is left with a choice between .... outsourcing (shock horror!!) and
just ceasing to exist. The latter does no good for anyone, including
they who make the choice, so the company outsources. If the culprit
feminists and their pet government had left it alone, the company would
still be operating here, but they pushed it too far, and now they get
nothing. (Except we still get goods we can afford.)
Of course, no one bothers to wonder why a company would move offshore,
given the pain in the arse that it is. They just bash it, as if that
will change a thing.
