The US media isn't widely reporting that the Downing Street memos are fakes either.

Lack of reporting of something in the US media is indicative of nothing
when it comes to factual basis IMO.

The prior Alawi allegations were never proven false.  Perhaps there is the
notion of "whistle blower" in Iraq too?
