From: "Tony Ingenoso" http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4431601/ "...But NBC News has learned that long before the war the Bush administration had several chances to wipe out his terrorist operation and perhaps kill Zarqawi himself - but never pulled the trigger. In June 2002, U.S. officials say intelligence had revealed that Zarqawi and members of al-Qaida had set up a weapons lab at Kirma, in northern Iraq, producing deadly ricin and cyanide..." I'm "trying to say" the argument that there were no terrorists in Iraq is bullshit. Zarquawi was there, and so was a kinda largish Saddam sponsored Iranian exile group operating near the Iranian border who was doing cross border sabotage and terror ops that we're not sure how to handle yet, so all we've done is round them up and keep them in a camp. Maybe you are willing to dismiss them because they were terrorizing the Iranians, but I'm not. "Robert Comer" wrote in message news:42bd3abb{at}w3.nls.net... > > Right - One guy? Is this why the dem's were whining about why we didn't > > strike Zarquawi's bases prior to the invasion? > > Now I'm confused about what you're trying to say, I never saw any proof > Zarquawi was even in Iraq until we got there, I never saw any whining from > anyone about not striking his bases pre-invasion. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
