This is a shame, and patently sexist, and a display of pathetic
groveling by the cowed DA, who knows the women in his jurisdiction
would go crazy if he were to (gasp) prosecute false accusers.  (the
horror!!)  They would stomp their tiny feet and shout, "You'll
discourage poow hewpwess wimmins from coming forward!!"  It's
disheartening, BUT

not all justice must be dispensed by a DA or judge, if you know what I
mean.  I think if I were "Mr. Johnson," I'd be pretty d-mned angry
about this, and I'd have free access to Ms. Whatserface.
