My Father worked for the same power company before he passed last year.  That
stuff is removed, it is actually valuable... the Uranium, if it is there, is in
almost unnoticeable.  There has always been radiation in our environment.  We
get radiation from the Sun and the Moon.  Now some theorized that our ubiqitous
wifi signals may have an effect on us.

The Scrubbers remove all of that in more as the coal burns it does not make it
into the air.  The rest of the soda ash is used mostly for other industries.
ALmost any ore mined from the earth wll have trace amounts of bad stuff it's in
nature.  The bad stuff will always be in nature.  Matter is neither created nor
destroyed.
