Gary,
My gut reaction is 'please don't send any coded messages' because they
may create more problems than they solve. I'm considered that the
person sending has to know what they're doing so that they don't
transmit junk. Even if the message is successfully 'coded', then
everyone who pulls down the echo will receive a great deal of 'noise.'
I'm also concerned that there will be interminable discussions about how
to decode the messages. I realize that this echo isn't inundated with
traffic but we do have to consider the sysops who move the mail, don't
we?
I believe that there are several echoes that exist for a similar
purpose. I think that these echoes are a more appropriate place than
this echo. Failing that, perhaps we could persuade a sysop to serve as
file repository from which the files could be freq'ed.
If y'all want to give it a try, persuade me to change my mind
