WH>DB>WH>Thanx Don. Does your invesment club's financial partner use Quicken
to
WH> >WH>keep track of the club's portfolio and valuation units and such?
WH>DB>I don't belong to a club, Wayne. I did but left for personal reasons. I
WH> >keep active in the NAIC doing software demonstrations at the Regional
WH> >Computer Club meetings. I recently did a presentation on Investment
WH> >information on the Internet, where it is and how to get it. It was a
WH> >good turnout, probably 120 people.
WH>DB>I believe most people seem to use the NAIC sponsored programs, Club
WH> >Accounting software and Personal Record Keeper. Again I like Quicken
nd
WH> >have used it for years.
WH>Yeah....that is probably what I need to do as well. I've been keeping
WH>track of club finanical records on SuperCalc spreadsheet for past few
WH>years, but, it is probably time to order the NAIC stuff. I was hoping
WH>Quicken might work since I have it already...but, it probably wouldn't
WH>handle the intriciacies of NAIC accounting as well as NAIC-based
WH>software would do it. Could you give me the specific software name and
WH>version number which I should be seeking?
I think the Club Accounting Software will also prepare the K2's along
with other functions. I haven't really kept track of the current
versions. If you have access to the internet, you can go to the NAIC
home page at www.better-investing.org. You can order products or even
download demo copies of the various products.
Good Luck
TTYL
Don
