hi ray thanks for the reply. i do not know what the difference
is between the 1270b and 1270c but think its the max amount
of memory you can have for personal bbs thingee thats in the 
firmware. kiss is a special mode that other programs use to
operate the tnc directly (like a bbs or aprs program). 73
