Maybe not, but just like your CO-PIF.DVP file, its a start for most users to 
improve from, specially since Win95 has a tendancy to use "uncontrolable" 
defaults.  (There is no _default.pif file anymore, the defaults are assumed 
internally, this way if a COMMO.PIF exist in the same directory, its settings 
will get used for COMMO.EXE)
A suggestion, to make sure it works for everyone, is to TRY not to use a PATH 
in the PIF.  Thats always what gets me.  People include a default PATH in 
their PIFs that is nothing like what my path to the program is.
