        Again, only if you're not watching your PC, your modem, or know much
about your system, or are hard of hearing. Most communications programs will
snap back to the dialing list if carrier is lost. On mine, a message is
written to a system log when this happens.
        Again, this is a moot point, because this *ONLY* applies for those
with modems, and only those with internal modems at that. On a LAN (live
connection), this is never going to work.
