RM> It is not "God" that deserves to be thanked, but those many Americans

FM> I knew the futility of evoking some show of civility from him and so
FM> will shortly be ceasing to respond to his messages. His violent

RM> I have already ended it. He can continue to post to me (that I have no
RM> control over). Unless I send REC Bob Seaborn a copy of his messages...
RM> y'think?
Not on my behalf, surely. You may have seen one of his latest messages to
me in which he admits he was probably wrong in his entire tirade against me
n
the silly evolution-creation nonsense. I'm just letting him rave until he
gets it out of his system. I really think that in addition to the crude
incivility of name-calling he can't keep his message identities straight. We
had another person here who did the same thing for months on this same echo
although he was too civilized to call his antagonists dirty names.
RM> Didja see the recent baby rantings he sent me? I think it is a sad
RM> attempt at an artificial intelligence program... that failed. Likely
RM> written by one of Microsoft's brainiacs.
I was tempted to respond to that one but had already decided to just
gnore
such rank boorishness to the extent that I've even forgotten what he wrote.
Unfortunately, he does remind us of how far we still have to go and confirms
what Bergson said - there IS no open society - only the society of the open
soul. Without a certain degree of openness there can BE no equitable
conversation and dialogue. Somebody evidently taught him in childhood to
ignore the possibility of humanhood in those who might happen not to live
mentally in his highly restricted domain. He's truly ripe for some ideologic
leader if, indeed, he hasn't already found one and is just concealing the
fact. He's obviously not too skilled at managing message identiy either.
Sincerely,
Frank
