Are you still entering messages directly on the BBS?  If so, quoting ONLY
works if you press R (?) to reply to a message you are currently reading.
Then, when it's waiting for you to enter your reply message, press ^kr,
then ^kc (I think).  The message you were reading will be inserted into
your reply.

I don't know if I've got it set up right, but I'm only getting 0.06kBytes/s!
The file I want would take 25hrs.  I don't think the delay's at our end
(MPCUG Internet service) because local transfers seem quicker, although I 
can't quote a rate.  It must be either the remote site or one of the
intermediate sites.

Our internet service has been accused of being slow,  but not that slow.

If we are going to keep discussing things not directly relating to modems,
I suggest we move to the general discussion area.  We'll be starting to 
annoy people here.
