I've used some of the concept of King's novels in some of my contempary 
games....and always based a campaign off of "The Stand"...
 
It would probably be a good concept to have a RPG based on King's work!
And it has to have a good atmosphere behind it....! King's concept can be 
interjected into any contempary setting....
Pallidium's Beyond the Supernatural, Chill, Top Secret and so on..! :)
