KJ>I've not tried hanging toys in the brooder, but I DO put stuffed anima
KJ>in with single babies. When the babies get to a weaning cage, they get
KJ>hanging toys AND a swing.
That's a good idea - I never thoght of it. Since AGs can be a little well..
less than
sure-footed, a swing would be a good idea. I could hang it so it was low
enought they wouldn't
hurt themselves if they fell off. I have used stuffed toys with a single
chick but with several
babies in the brooder or the weaning cage, it gets kinda crowded.
BB>I put hand toys such as the Gerber baby toys or a short piece
BB>of brightly colored chain on the floor of the brooder.
Less expensive than the Gerber toys would be kitten toys. They are quite
inexpensive but are
certainly now for the birds when they get a little older or stronger.
