no, not at the 333 mhz pII this is the only pII worth getting, also the next
generation will have thier internal caching coupled back tot he processors
buss
speed, the 333 mhz one may actually have this already, so it would actually
e
better than the 200 mhz ppro .. not my much, but in thiis world on
ncrimental
difference even a nose in front is concodered good enough.
generally the ppro is the processor to get if yo are building a file server
r
a unix machine .. the pII[s were designed to be cheap to produce in quantity
for the home desktop market .. they have cut corners and tried new production
techniques. also they have cut the price to compete with others out thier, on
the other hand th eppro has kept its pricetag because it is beng sold as a
server solution will att he attendant publicity cincering performance and
relibaility.
to a home user its not much in the between the two but in a server where it
need to be run come the end of the world or worse my money would be on the
ppro. a processor is much more than the fancy name or the numbers scrached
into
the ceramic.
ps, i have more money the either brains or ego .. grin.
cheers
Jonathan
... i do what i can, with what i have, are you able to say the same ?
