That reminds of mgetty (?) or some other process that reset the modem, ( 
running two different systems of of the same serial port ) ... , wonder if I 
went back to AT&F1 would cause me problems  -  must remember, when I have time 
to play again ... , to check, motherboard now has 2 serial ports ... , Linux 
makes this so easy ... , most times ... :-)
