I'll be writing the software on a Linux box but it will ultimately run 
on a SUN (Solaris) platform.  However, you've given me a lot of "stuff" 
that I'll have to check out.  BTW, is there a method of printing the 
"man" pages?  I'm an old-fashioned type who sometime prefers to have 
hard-copy at hand (especially when the machine is turned off).
