subject: Quicken quirks

Well, to try and get some traffic going here, I thought I'd post a message
about a small but aggravating problem I have with Quicken Windows v5 and v6.
Every once in a while, Quicken will automatically make a backup of my data
files in a backup directory. I have this function turned off, but it does it
anyway. Additionally, when it makes the backup, it renames my data files to
the name I used when I first started using Quicken. For example, when I
first started using Quicken, my data file was LOCKE-91. The data file I use
now is LOCKE-97. When Quicken does it's auto backup, it names the backed up
files in the backup directory LOCKE-91, even though those data files no
longer exist! The contents of the backup\LOCKE-91 files are identical to the
current LOCKE-97 files. It's really weird.
Ideas anyone?
