Anecdote (almost certainly apocryphal):  a Duke was having his estate
landscaped and came across some of the workers taking a break from planting
trees.  When asked when they were going to resume tree planting, he was
told "Tomorrow because it's going to take 50 years before they're
worth viewing."

"Fifty years?  Then start now!" was the Duke's reply.
