I emailed our councillor (knowing she'd pass the question along to the recycle people in Mississauga) and learned what you did: Compact fluorescents must be disposed of separately (HHW - household hazardous waste). And, for the time being, you have to take them to the recycle site. Mississauga isn't big enough for the "Toxic Taxi" (great name). Also, we finally got green recycling. The bins were dropped off last week.
