In a couple of months, if the moderator doesn't
update it.
I, for one, am very unhappy with Intuit. I'm
using Quicken v8 for DOS. I don't expect it to be
updated, but it is doing what I want.
I do not use Windoze except for running my
scanner. And to do so, I must reboot without the LAN
connected, scan, then reboot to connect the LAN. I
have yet to find out how to use the LAN with Windoze.
I'm happy with DOS.
First, Intuit put out this year's TurboTax in Win
version only. I used it this year, but will probably
never do so again!
Now I get a notice that my Quicken VISA account
will no longer be downloaded to a DOS version. True,
they offer Q for Win free + $5 shipping, but I don't
want to use Windoze. The only reason I opened that
VISA account was for the modem downloading. If it
isn't going to be available, then there's little point
in keeping it as my other VISA account has a _much_
higher credit limit. I will close the account and let
them know why, tho I don't imagine they'll care enough!
'Fore long, Rich Billy will control the whole
(computer) world! :-(
