It was the downfall of the people in Germany in the 30's.  People saw that 
the government had an agenda against the Jews and the gypsies, but did 
nothing, since it didn't directly affect their lives.
In essence, these simple-minded dullards help the government, just like they 
allowed the Nazis to further the Nazi agenda.  They won't wake up, nor do 
they want anyone to try.
