for those who don't know... the fix seems to be easily applied to other
"flavors" and versions as long as the C time library used is the
same as the original and one knows how to use a HEX editor... i've done it
with the RA version but do not recall if i have gone thru the motions to
put it in place... that mainly due to differences between what i run and
the last released version...
