Hello all!
WAs just sitting here a couple nights ago perusing the March 2009 issue of
pLayboy which had just arrived in my mailbox.
AS noted, it comes to me free of charge in braille, sans
pictures and paid advertisements through Library of
COngress.
I found myself thinking about this thread all of a sudden as I finished
going through it for the second time for any
good stuff or anything worth a re-read before I do the
SUnday afternoon get ready for the big truck to empty the
container tomorrow morning.
YEs, the FOrum's still good, AFter hours is still fun and I
always look at the music book and film reviews. I give the
interview a good read about 50% of the time. Usually I read the feature,
always do in fact.
would I buy a subscription were I able to utilize it?
Probably not. I might look at one on the newsstand and if
it had enough good stuff in it pay the price for it, but I
probably wouldn't buy a subscription these days.
Contrast this with the '70's up through late '80's when I
probably would have .
IN essence, this means I'm retracting my earlier statement
that the writing meets the standards of yesteryear for that
magazine .
Regards,
Richard
