subject: more on 3rd parties

Hi JOhn,

following up a message from Richard Webb to JOHN FITZGERALD:

RW> DOn't know how ideological I am, but I believe in the
RW> principles on which our country was founded, liberty. THat
RW> means my government can stay out of my bedroom and out of my life
RW> for the most part. I truly believe both major parties
RW> are bought and paid for by those whose interest is not
RW> liberty.

Along with the points in my earlier msg consider this. Both major parties
aid and abet the panopticon society. FOr
those who do not know what I'm talking about, I"m talking
about a writer from the 19th century that described in a
work of fiction the prison were all the inmates could be
observed at all times. Except, these days, the "free"
individuals going about their lives can be so scrutinized.

IF it isn't to make us more "secure" and "safe" then
it's to regulate our so-called safety and good health because "we're
only here to help you." Be careful what ideas are available to folks,
they might actually consider them. Be careful
where you go, what you let your kids see, do and experience.

IN either case, this is not liberty. PEople who have
liberty have the ability to exercise free will. PEople who
truly possess liberty must take initiative if they want to
accomplish anything. the reason we have multigenerational
welfare families and those with no "hope" (there's that word
again MR. Obama) is that these people have not been allowed
to think in terms of taking initiative, of exercising free
will.

There's an old saying which goes something like this. "GIve a man a
fish, and you feed him today. TEach the man to fish and he can feed
himself for a lifetime." wHen we diminish
free will and the ability to take the initiative and control one's own life
and destiny then we deny the man the ability
to learn to fish.

With liberty comes responsibility, and one can only exercise that
responsibility when the opportunity to learn about it
is offered. with any opportunity comes responsibility, but
without opportunity no responsibility can be learned.

SO, to sum up, both major parties are bound and determined
to deny the right of the average citizen to learn how to
fish. so, in most cases, I vote for those whom I actually
believe would give the people of the U.S.A. back the ability to learn how
to exercise free will.

An oversimplification, but best I can do at this late hour
after spending the day with my wife at the hospital.

Regards,
           Richard
