It is still possible for unfixed readers to pass bad dates through fixed
doors into fixed Max/Squishbases.  Squish will log "grunged date"
and skip over the message, move the high-water mark, and never say anything
about it again...but the Sent flag will not be set and it never leaves your
system.

I use something called "echofixd" to repair the dates on the
messages posted through BlueWave and Silver XPress doors into Squish format
areas before invoking Squish to scan the areas.
