If the target platform is a stock IIGS, I'd agree. If memory serves,
the colour richness was not so extreme (thinking here of Monkey Island
I & II) that 1 palette per scanline couldn't do a pretty decent job of
rendering it, and at 7Mhz+, this should tick along just nicely
That said, I think you're right that a 'port' of ScummVM using Orca/C
isn't going to bear fruit - a *lot* of customized code would need to
be written to get the GS to do it snappily.
I love to see it happen. I've been looking for an excuse to pull a GS
out of storage. Being able to play Monkey Island on it would be great
fun!
