Greetings Ebbe,
EK>Here you will find a description on how to boot a specific DOS version
EK>under OS/2. I'd advise you to look at the topic "Starting DOS from an
mage
EK>file", found at the bottom of the help page. Here is describe how to
reate
EK>a file containing a bootable DOS image i.e. you don't need to boot from a
EK>diskette.
Thanks for that tip, I will have to try this. At this point I
think I may have exhausted the other avenues available with regards to
settings. I considered the above but was under the impression that one
needed a floppy disk to boot a DOS image. I learn something new every
day!
The other possibility could be my IO card. It is a DTC 2278 VL-bus
EIDE/IO card. I know that DOS/Win. required special drivers for 32 bit
file and disk access. Perhaps OS/2 requires special drivers to properly
access the ports. Then again, I may be overanalyzing this since the
OS/2 TCP/IP stack and Procomm Plus for Windoze both access my external
modem without a hitch and my serial mouse works fine.
Best Regards,
Greg
