To the leadership and members of NFB,
I am not a member of NFB and I rarely agree with the actions taken by NFB.  
On 
the recent media "feeding frenzy" about Mr. Magoo, I have stood with those at 
NFB.  The misconceptions, stereotypes and attitudinal barriers that result 
from 
these "cartoons" are serious and not funny.  I have heard many negative 
comments 
about NFB, their lack of a sense of humor and a few other comments that I can 
not repeat.  As a writer, who frequently uses the topic "Attitudianal 
Barriers" 
in my articles, I am very much aware of impact a few wrong words, a careless 
phrase can have on those with disabilities.
NFB must take this opportunity to press home their advantage, and further 
promote awareness of this issue (Stereotypes, misconceptions and attitudinal 
barriers).  The leadership and members of NFB are to be commended for 
standing 
up in the fore front of the battle on this issue.  My writings on this topic 
are 
available for use by NFB.
