That sounds like a lean-to.  If it is actually part of the construction of
the house then it is a porch.  I think that is how it works here but don't
quote me on that.  Also if glass or other see through substance then
solarium works but greenhouse if independant structure.

I prefer edible ones.  I am thinking peppers.  I just might do that this
year but I have some major alterations happening as soon as it is less
swampy then it currently is.
