I have a similar ordeal that I go through when I program my Uniden
handheld... For instance when I enter 165.0875 the scanner will
automatically "round up" to 165.09. I assume this is because the
scanner "steps" through freqs in this range at incriments of .005. As
far as errors, the only time I get these is if I attempt to enter a
freq out of the frequency coverage of the scanner... For instance 243.0.
Here are a couple of more examples of freqs that round up...
Freq entered................................Rounded up to.
165.1625....................................165.165
163.4125....................................163.415
163.4375....................................163.440
163.5625....................................163.565
You get the idea... Hope this helps.
