Isn't that a good reason to make the Raspberry Pi community as inclusive
and welcoming as possible, so that everyone feels they can belong to it?

I can assure you that many people don't participate in software
communities and industries because they have found them exclusive,
unwelcoming and unfriendly.

Of course, nothing I say will possibly change your ideas about these
things. If you think that supporting the Pride movement or valuing
inclusivity is simply a "current fashionable ideology" then it seems to
me that betrays attitudes of discomfort and fear.

In time, fewer and fewer people will feel threatened in this way.
Younger people in particular thank goodness don't share those fears of
others nearly as much, and some unhappier attitudes are simply dying out
- partly because they are dying with the people who hold them, and
partly because people do change their ideas.

I hope your attitudes change before you die, but it doesn't matter;
you're in a declining minority that has lost the arguments of humanity,
morality and has less influence than ever.
