Not quite. I tried to paste to here, but it only shows the highlighted line
shifted to the right by two characters. If I cursor the highlight to the next
line, it too will be shifted to the right. This alone, I could live with, but
for example, when I save a message to text and want to edit the field, the
edits actually occur one characters *right* from where it should be, and during
deletion, the trailing character remains as an artifact.

I just did another experiment, and if I into the text on the
"Save As"
prompt, I'll end up some eight or nine characters left of where I should be.
After I cancelled the save, the following numbers remained on the text of the
message I was about to save in red bg, and yellow or orange fg text.

Here's another example. Notice the extraneous "u" and

This is what happens when I scroll up and down. lines up on one
column, and lines up to the left. There is also a high
ASCII, "j"
with the ^ above, right before the filename that didn't make it to the paste.
Also, I don't think "STo" is what is supposed to be there. <-;

When the "default8x16" made no difference, I tried the lesser one
(What 8x9 or
something around there.) just to make sure I had affected the right file. I
did.

... Making it "idiot-proof" will just encourage 'em.
