Absolutely not. A proportion is just a relative
measure. The minimal two totals that must be compared
to form one proportion are NOT relative measures they are
absolute measures. It is these that are being deleted in
favour of just a "Mr Magoo" myopic relative measure. Population
genjetics cannot even see its own hand in front of its face.
All it can see is the ratio of the right hand to
the left!  Unless you can clearly see totals you have
no hope of doing evolutionary theory. Can you imagine
the consternation if Dr O'Hara was offered his pay in
proportional units and not an annual total? Can you imagine
what would happen if accountants had no totals to work
with, just ratios? Yet it is such a Mad Hatter world
that runs evolutionary theory in 2004. The reason why
Post Modernism ("everything is relative" ) has infected
evolutionary theory so thoroughly is because of the
Mr Magoo eyesight of population geneticists. The error is
so gross and outrageous it has reduced evolutionary
theory to just a non testable Mr Magoo model of itself
but nobody gives a dam...
