 I also enjoyed the technical work I was doing before retirement (as usual,
 it was all the BS that wore me down) and I had real mixed feelings about
 early retirment - it's turned out better than I expected and I'm not at
 all unhappy about my decision.  I consulted with two financial planners
 about retirement funds, etc, before I signed the final commitment papers.

 Not too badly - the scars are visible and the finger hurts a little when
 I get too cold (my excuse for not flying when temp's below 50 deg)  - I use
 the finger (gr) to show beginners what CAN happen - they're impressed (gr).
