I don't but the thread wasn't about the law in general,
it was about the fact that police are held to a higher
standard when it comes to using deadly force.
Following that logic if you hire a professional plumber
to do some plumbing and he screws up and damages
something you can sue him for those damages and stand a
very good chance of winning. OTOH, if you had hired
your neighbor and the same thing happens you would have
a much harder time winning the suit.
