In the way that you should at some point evaluate what all the "war
against terrorism" stuff has really gained, and maybe think about
other approaches. I don't have all the answers, I just think of the current
methods the US is using as totally ineffective and wrong.

Yeppers, that's exactly right. In a way, passing those laws was giving in
to the terrorists.

Agree on that as well. I think a big part of the overall problem is that
there is no one single "fix" for the problem that would be
effective quickly enough to be appealing to the leaders of today (and not
just in the US by any strecth). Everything has to be useful as a political
tool as well - have to go to war to get a victory to seal a second term,
and all that.
