Patrick...
I'm still having a tremendous amount of problems with AT#CID=1 and the
Supra 28.8 (33.6) external modems. Ever since Supra upgraded from the
VFC (in which caller id worked FLAWLESSLY) the same problem continues to
occur.
It seems that when a call comes in when CID is set the modem will simply
send a hangup string right after the first ring. This is a sporadic
problem. It occurs about 20-25% of the time. It happens whether a com
program, like Front Door, is running or whether NOTHING is running.
I've removed Front Door from memory and called the phone number which is
connected to the Supra. Theoretically the number should just keep
ringing and ringing but it will ring once and then, click, it hangs up.
When I remove CID under these circumstances it will keep ringing, just
like its supposed to.
Yet in the majority of occasions it works just fine. But there is some
init string I must have in NVRAM that is telling the modem to hang up
when CID is present. I'm baffled!#$% The modem works flawlessly when
CID is removed. I'm running beta 18.
Also I'd like to make a comment about the change over with Diamond from
Supra on the web site. I can't find the betas where they normally were
anymore (under What's New). That's become a little annoying :(.
Thanks,
Paul
