I do not know where the midi ring is, but I know that there is one, or
perhaps 2, I know because I was asked to join.
If you really want to find good midi sites on the internet, perhaps the best
place to begin is the list "Standard Midi Files on the Net"
the url is:
http://www.aitech.ac.jp/~ckelly/SMF.html
it is the oldest and most comprehensive list and identifies quantities and
contents -
BFWIW there is a vast difference between quantity and quality, and some of
the smaller sites have pro quality work, while the larger ones are sometimes
not very particular, sometimes I think there must be a competition as to who
can gather the most, even if it is not musical...
as for me, its classical, folk and hymns, so I wont bore you with my urls,
you'll find them in SMFonNet if you want them...
Regards,
Richard.
