What's your reasoning behind this? 1) the fact that sex-selective abortion DOES take place on a mass scale in China - though it's female infants that are at risk in rural China. But I'm just using that as an example that gender-selective abortion on a large scale is not unheard of. Presumably, the Chinese government did not INTEND to eradicate female infants through its population control measures - this is just how many rural Chinese families chose to comply with such measures. 2) The obvious fact that, in the West, male lives are not regarded as worthwhile and valuable to the same extent that female lives are - and often aren't regarded as valuable at all. All that talk about the pending extinction of the Y chromosome - and, in general, the diminution of male authority, male prestige, etc. 3) While male leaders often pander shamelessly to females, I just think that with a woman president, there would be more energy placed behind the scheme to eradicate males - especially under some Century/Millennium of the Woman theme. >>On Wed, 09 Mar 2005 08:03:20 GMT, "MCP" >>wrote: >> >>>http://www.thelocal.se/article.php?ID=1066&date=20050308 >>> >>>Published: 8th March 2005 14:06 BST+1 >>> >>>It would have been hard not to notice that Tuesday was International Women's >>>Day.
